Samantha founded Learning Curve Educational Therapy driven by a passion for empowering students with diverse learning needs. Her journey in education began at UCLA, where she earned a B.A. in Anthropology, laying the foundation for her understanding of human development and cultural influences on learning. Furthering her education, Samantha completed a Master's in Education and Teaching at USC, coupled with a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Her commitment to specialized education led her to UC Riverside, where she earned a certificate in Educational Therapy through a rigorous post-master's program. This advanced training equipped her with the skills to address complex learning challenges more effectively. Throughout her career, Samantha has gained invaluable classroom experience teaching first, second, and fourth grades. She has also taught sixth-grade science and social-emotional learning (SEL) classes, recognizing the crucial link between emotional well-being and academic success. Trained in Orton-Gillingham, Samantha uses a multi-sensory method in her reading intervention that supports students with various learning differences, including dyslexia, ADHD, and processing disorders. Her holistic approach takes into consideration each student's unique cognitive, emotional, and social needs to create tailored learning strategies. Her goal is not just to help students overcome challenges, but to instill a love for learning and build the confidence necessary for lifelong success.
